Our elderly client with advanced dementia, who was at high risk of choking was given improper food for her diet restrictions and was not monitored. Unfortunately, she choked on the food and passed away. The defendant disputed liability and the value of the wrongful death damages, given our client’s advanced dementia and familial complexities.
