Premises Liability Against Home Depot

PREMISES LIABILITY CASE AGAINST HOME DEPOT
$2,400,000
Our client was walking through a Home Depot at which time a box fell from the top shelf, striking him on the head and causing serious neck injuries. Unbeknownst to him, an employee in the next aisle over negligently stocked merchandise on the shelf, causing a domino effect leading to the box falling. Home Depot denied liability until right before the start of trial. When it finally did admit liability, it offered less than what we believed his injuries were worth, so we tried it. Complicating matters at trial was the fact that our client had preexisting neck injuries. Despite that, we were still victorious.
