Our client underwent back surgery. We alleged that the surgeon inserted hardware into her spinal cord and failed to investigate symptoms reflective of such after the surgery. Our client ended up with reduced functioning in her legs, requiring further surgery and extensive treatment. Liability and injury causation were staunchly contested and the laws of MICRA certainly affected the case, but we were still able to get our client a great result against the doctor and his group.
