Jake Stipp’s Mission: Standing Up for Vulnerable Seniors

When Jake Stipp works with an elder abuse case, he sees more than just another case file. He sees someone’s grandmother who deserves dignity. He sees a father who raised a family and earned the right to safe, compassionate care in his final years.

For Jake, protecting seniors from abuse isn’t just part of his job. It’s his mission.

A Career Built on Justice

Jake’s path to elder advocacy started at Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2010. During law school, something clicked for him. He realized he didn’t want to defend big corporations or insurance companies. He wanted to fight against them, on behalf of real people who needed someone in their corner.

Since then, Jake has focused his entire career on helping injured individuals and families seek justice. His practice covers personal injury, elder abuse and neglect, and wrongful death cases. But elder abuse cases hold a special place in his work.

Why Elder Abuse Matters

The statistics are troubling. Over 10% of adults over 60 in America have experienced or are experiencing some form of abuse, neglect, or exploitation each year. Many suffer in silence, either too afraid or too ashamed to speak up. Others lack the physical or mental capacity to advocate for themselves.

Jake has seen the devastating effects of neglecting the elderly firsthand. Bedsores that could have been prevented. Medication errors that caused serious harm. Falls that happened because facilities were understaffed. These aren’t accidents. They’re often the result of cutting corners and prioritizing profits over people.

Fighting for Those Who Can’t Fight Back

What drives Jake is the vulnerability of his clients. Unlike other personal injury cases where clients can advocate for themselves, many elder abuse victims can’t speak up. Some have dementia. Others are physically dependent on their abusers for basic care. Many fear retaliation if they complain.

Because of that fear, Jake steps in to be that voice that needs to be heard.

That’s exactly what he does. He takes on nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and large corporations that fail to provide adequate care. He battles insurance companies that try to minimize payouts or deny legitimate claims.

Making a Real Difference

For Jake, success isn’t measured just in settlements or verdicts; it’s measured in the changes that need to happen.

When a facility improves its staffing ratios after a lawsuit, that protects future residents, when a nursing home implements better safety protocols, it prevents future harm. When families get justice for their loved ones, it sends a message that elder abuse won’t be tolerated.

Every case Stipp Law handles is another step toward a world where seniors receive the care and respect they deserve. It’s about dignity, justice, and making sure that no one’s final chapter is written with suffering that could have been prevented.

Every senior deserves someone willing to fight for them.
